-What is Utah Valley Magic Academy?
Utah Valley Magic Academy is a place where kids learn important skills that will help them throughout their life while learning how to perform Magic!!! Kids will learn amazing magic, and receive amazing magic supplies, while learning "The 8 Traits of a True Magician" which is the core of our program! The 8 Traits of a True Magician are being: Respectful, Prepared, Enthusiastic, Confident, Humble, Creative, Authentic, & Giving. Each lesson and magic trick has been specifically designed to correlate with a specific trait that will help each child's confidence and ability to communicate well with others and also to help them develop the excitement and curiosity to learn more about how our world works! That is why we chose the Discover Magic curriculum as the source material for teaching kids at Utah Valley Magic Academy.
-What is Magic?
While some may view magic as just play and games, at it's core, magic is actually Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! That's right! Magic is S.T.E.M.!!! All magic tricks have some sort of secret or technique that has either been specially engineered, has a science or mathematical principle, and also technology involved to make it work! By understanding S.T.E.M., we can add our own creativity and personality to our STEM knowledge, and we can create a situation that seems impossible, therefore creating a Magical Moment for someone! People call it "magic", but we know that it's really just S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math)!!!
-What age is this program for?
Our fun and educational magic classes are best for kids from 2nd Grade through 8th Grade!
-Where are you located?
One of the great things about Utah Valley Magic Academy, is that we COME TO YOU! Yes! We don't have a fixed location, which makes it ideal to have as many kids as possible come and learn our fun and educational magic courses! We have taken our magic classes to after-school programs at elementary schools, rec-centers, art centers, and even senior living centers! Schools love having us come do educational STEM magic assemblies or anti-bullying magic assemblies (where we never even say the word "bully") by our professional magicians, and then having our educational magic classes offered as an after-school program! -Who teaches your educational magic classes?
Magician Jason Fun is the owner and operator of Utah Valley Magic Academy -and, he is also an instructor! Jason has carefully selected qualified instructors to also help teach his educational magic shows and classes. Jason receives hands-on, yearly training at events by the creators of the Discover Magic curriculum. In turn, Jason personally trains each instructor to make sure your children get the best educational experience as possible and to have fun while learning! Click here to see our instructors!
-Where can I enroll my child now?
It's possible that we are currently teaching at an after-school program, a performing arts theatre, a rec-center, a local business, or other type of center (we even do summer magic camps!).
