What is Discover Magic? Discover Magic is an internationally renowned program that was developed by educators and magicians. More than just magic classes, Discover Magic is a social skills program for kids designed as magic classes! Each lesson teaches one of the 8 Traits of a True Magician (being Respectful, Prepared, Enthusiastic, Confident, Humble, Creative, Authentic, and Giving), and the kids receive special magic tricks and materials. While Discover Magic has been an exclusively in-person program for kids, given today's circumstances, Discover Magic is now going ONLINE! That's right! All magic tricks and materials will be mailed to you along with a special Zoom link and password for our online classes! Since our online magic classes will be held via Zoom, they will be live and interactive! You and your child will be able to participate and ask questions in real time!

We realize kids are online a lot these days. While we are now offering online classes, the REAL magic happens OFFLINE as your child practices their new knowledge of magic with their new magic props! Magician Jason Fun and Utah Valley Magic Academy have launched a NEW Summer Camp Program for kids! Introducing Wizard Boot Camp! This is the only wizard camp in Utah to offer the educational Discover Magic program, where your kids will not only participate in fun wizard activities and games, but they will also LEARN HOW to perform REAL MAGIC TRICKS and get special magic props and materials to take home with them! 

Big Budah, from Fox 13 News, joined Jason Fun and the Wizard Boot team on a special day to launch the program on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020. Big Budah filmed several segments which aired on LIVE TV for Fox 13 in Utah.

Discover Magic, an internationally recognized program founded by Michael Ammar, along with Brian Daniel and Michael Rosander, awarded the Discover Magic Golden Key of Excellence Award to magician Jason Fun for his efforts with Utah Valley Magic Academy and for his contributions to the Discover Magic program! 

The award was presented by magic legend Michael Ammar at a special banquet for magicians that was held on Monday, November 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the 4th magic award that has been received by Jason Fun.

"It is a huge surprise and honor to be recognized with not only some of the world's greatest magicians, but also some of the world's greatest people!" said Jason Fun. Jason has been a licensed presenter of the Discover Magic program since it started 5 years ago.  

Utah Magician Jason Fun and his wife, Marcela, were awarded the Discover Magic True Magician Award while aboard Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas cruise ship on Friday, January 12, 2018! The award was presented at a private gathering on the ship of teachers from around the world of the educational kids program Discover Magic.

     On Wednesday, January 25, 2017, magician Jason Fun and his wife Marcela were invited to a special magician's banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada. At that banquet, they were awarded for the second year in a row, the Discover Magic Golden Key of Excellence for their efforts in the establishment of their magic school, Utah Valley Magic Academy, and for their contributions to the Discover Magic educational curriculum for kids! The award was presented by the producer of Magic Magazine and Magic Live!, Stan Allen. Other celebrity magicians that were present include Mac King, Johnny Thompson, Fielding West, and Mat Franco, winner of America's Got Talent! 

     "We are so honored and excited to receive this award for the second year in a row!" said Jason. "We really believe in the Discover Magic educational curriculum and have seen it do wonders for kids in our magic school. Parents love the impact that our magic classes have on their kids. The real magic is seeing the kids implement the 8 Traits of a True Magician not only when they perform magic, but in their everyday lives."

     The 8 Traits of a True Magician include important social skills such as being Respectful, Prepared, Enthusiastic, and Confident. Kids come and take magic classes at Utah Valley Magic Academy. While the kids come to learn magic, the real focus is on preparing these kids with how to interact with others.      The very first Utah Art of Magic Festival was featured in The Daily Herald Newspaper! The Festival was organized by magic creator and inventor Brian South, one of the creators of the educational magic curriculum Discover Magic, and by Jason "FUN" Carling, from Utah Valley Magic Academy.

     Professional magician and magic teacher, Jason Carling, from Utah Valley Magic Academy, appeared on FOX 13's Good Day Utah to promote magic and the upcoming Utah Art of Magic Festival! Before his interview, though, Jason made some rather "magical" appearances by scaring Meteorologist Allison Croghan on Live TV a couple of times!
