On Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at a special banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jason and Marcela Carling, of Utah Valley Magic Academy, received the Discover Magic Golden Key of Excellence Award from famed magicians Johnny Thompson, Lance Burton, Mac King and Michael Ammar, for their contributions to the development of the internationally recognized, educational program Discover Magic.
"It is such an honor to be recognized by some of the Greatest magicians of our time!" said Jason. "Our magic classes are meant to help young kids unlock their potential, not only in the art of magic, but as successful people no matter what they choose to do in life."
The Discover Magic program implemented by Utah Valley Magic Academy is an educational curriculum designed to help kids learn important life skills, such as being prepared, being confident, showing empathy towards others, and other essential communication skills to help them excel in anything they may choose to do later in life.
